The new investment by Theon International in the field of Artificial Intelligence through Twin Prime — an emerging U.S. AI innovation hub developing specialized models for defense and security applications — serves a threefold strategic objective.
First, according to the company, the investment aims to support the development of specialized AI models tailored for defense and security applications and their integration across all THEON products.
This includes accelerating the rollout of internally developed AI capabilities throughout the company’s product portfolio, securing proprietary intellectual property (IP) at group level, expanding the market, and strengthening THEON’s value proposition.
Second, through this investment, THEON seeks to reinforce its presence in the United States while gaining direct access to the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem.
Third, through Twin Prime, THEON is initiating its first collaboration with a leading European investor in the defense and security sector based in Poland, marking its strategic entry into the Polish market. This comes as Twin Prime is currently finalizing a pre-seed funding round led by Expeditions, a prominent investor in European defense and security technology startups, particularly in Poland, where the firm is headquartered.
This investment follows the strategy THEON has adopted in its previous minority stakes in Kopin Corporation and Varjo Technologies, transactions that contributed both to strengthening THEON’s Research & Development capabilities and to creating shareholder value. The financial contribution of these investments is expected to be further reflected in THEON’s second-quarter 2026 results.
