Greek construction and infrastructure group Aktor will raise 650 million euros through its share capital increase, after its board approved offers totaling 650,000,002.50 euros and set the offer price at 11.25 euros per new share, the company said late on Wednesday.
The company will issue 57,777,778 new shares, priced equally in both the Greek public offering and the international private placement. The procedure attracted major international institutional investors, including BlackRock, Fiera Capital, Norges Bank Investment Management, Blackstone, and Canadian pension fund OMERS, as well as prominent Greek investors, particularly from the shipping sector.
The equity offering is the cornerstone of Aktor’s financing plan for its 3 billion euro investment programme. The group also plans to raise 300 million euros through a bond issue, without a book-building process, while part of the investment programme will be financed through project finance.
Of the total investment plan, around 1.3 billion euros will be allocated to public-private partnership (PPP) projects and concessions, 1 billion euros to renewable energy projects, with the remaining funds earmarked for the group’s other business activities.
