“Today marks an important milestone for ADMIE Holdings and its shareholders. The exceptionally strong response to the share capital increase effectively represents a vote of confidence in our strategy, in IPTO’s growth prospects, and in the critical role the transmission system operator plays in the country’s energy infrastructure,” ADMIE Holdings Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John Karabelas said in a statement.

At the same time, he said, “it is another strong indication of the favourable investment environment in Greece, which has continued to evolve since 2019 thanks to the policies implemented by the government of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.”

“I would like to sincerely thank our existing and new investors for their trust and support, as well as Environment and Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou, who made every effort to ensure the smooth completion of the share capital increase,” he added.

“The conditions are now in place for the implementation of one of Europe’s largest strategic electricity interconnection investment programmes, delivering significant benefits for energy security, the green transition and long-term value creation for our shareholders,” Karabelas said.
