A delegation from the Natural Resources Department of China’s Zhejiang province visited the Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology (HIMT) at its facilities in Piraeus.
The Chinese delegation was led by Deputy Director Li Jiayin and was welcomed by the Institute’s President George Pratikakis, alongside institute members and representatives of the broader business community.
According to an announcement, discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation in marine technology, innovation and sustainable development.
The two sides exchanged views on advanced marine monitoring systems, the sustainable utilisation of marine resources and ecosystem restoration, highlighting what they described as strong potential for enhanced collaboration between Greece and China in these fields.
