The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), whose President is Emanuele Grimaldi, has officially congratulated Mikki Koskinen and Nikos Veniamis on taking up the positions of President and Vice-President, respectively, of the European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA).
Their appointment comes at a critical juncture for shipping, with the European and international agenda dominated by decarbonisation, regulatory pressure and geopolitical challenges.
ICS participated in the events celebrating ECSA’s 60th anniversary in Brussels, underlining the timeless importance of institutional cooperation.
“We are all connected by one ocean,” ICS noted, highlighting the need for a common voice and coordinated action in Europe and internationally, as the industry enters 2026.
