Greek shipping company Angelakos (Hellas) S.A. has announced a further strengthening of its ties with China, extending its long-standing relationship with the country into the academic sphere.
The company said its cooperation with China spans more than three decades and covers a broad range of maritime activities.
As part of this relationship, the company’s Honorary President, Evangelos E. Angelakos, and Chief Executive Captain Stefanos E. Angelakos received academic distinctions from the School of Shipping and Naval Architecture at Chongqing Jiaotong University.
Evangelos Angelakos was appointed Honorary Dean, while Captain Stefanos Angelakos was named Honorary Professor.
According to the company, the distinctions recognize their longstanding contribution to the international shipping industry and further strengthen cooperation ties with China.
The development marks a deeper expansion of Greek-Chinese maritime and academic relations, reinforcing links between the two countries in both the shipping and education sectors.
