Greek fuel retailer REVOIL Group reported higher sales volumes, operating profitability and pre-tax earnings in the first quarter of 2026, supported by stronger commercial performance and contributions from acquisitions.

Pre-tax profit rose to 1.816 million euros from 431,000 euros in the same period of 2025, an increase of 321%, driven by higher fuel sales volumes, improved trading activity at the parent company, and gains from inventory management.

The group said total fuel volumes increased by 8.15% year-on-year in the quarter, while the acquisition of Maltese company Maltezos, consolidated in November 2025, also contributed 525,000 euros.

Revenue rose 8.96% to 241.9 million, from 222 million a year earlier, reflecting higher volumes and increased international fuel prices.

Gross profit increased 34.7% to 10.5 million euros, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) climbed 45.96% to 4.68 million.

REVOIL noted that its renewables subsidiary Rev Energy Group continued to weigh on profitability, with a negative pre-tax impact of 258,000 euros due to grid curtailments, financing costs and operating expenses linked to projects still under development or awaiting grid connection approvals.

These include a 3 MW wind farm in Boeotia and 174 MW of energy storage projects pending connection terms from the IPTO grid operator.

Outlook

The company said the strong start to the year is expected to continue, supported by positive tourism trends during the summer season and expectations of stabilising fuel prices at lower levels, which should support demand.

REVOIL added that it continues to execute its business plan across its three main pillars: expansion in the fuels market, investment in renewable energy through Rev Energy Group, and growth in the Maltezos subsidiary.
