COSCO Shipping has announced the opening of a new office in Mauritius, further expanding its presence in the African market and along key shipping routes in the Indian Ocean.
The new office is located in the heart of Mauritius’ port zone and is intended to provide direct and efficient support to vessels served by the company. According to COSCO Shipping, the local team brings more than 12 years of experience as a shipping agent and possesses extensive knowledge of the region’s regulatory environment.
The office specializes in servicing container vessels, dry bulk carriers and transport vessels, offering a broad range of integrated maritime and logistics services. Services provided by the office include ship supply and provisioning, bunkering support, crew changes, emergency response management and shipping operations coordination.
The expansion is expected to strengthen COSCO Shipping’s operational capabilities and support network across the wider African region, enhancing its ability to serve customers operating on key trade routes connecting Africa, Asia and the Indian Ocean.
