DEPA Commercial has emerged as the winner of the international LNG supply tender conducted by Bulgartransgaz, the company announced today.
The tender process was carried out through Bulgaria’s energy exchange (Balkan Gas Hub) and concerned the supply of 500 GWh (0.5 TWh) of LNG to meet the operational needs of Bulgaria’s National Natural Gas Transmission System. The cargo will be delivered to the FSRU terminal in Alexandroupolis during the first ten days of August, where it will be regasified before being transmitted to Bulgaria.
Christos Basdekis, Chief Commercial Coordination Director of DEPA Commercial, stated: “The successful outcome of the recent tender highlights the value of effective cooperation among the parties involved in ensuring energy security.
DEPA Commercial is active across all natural gas markets in Southeastern Europe and aims in the coming years to continue contributing decisively to the security of supply in the individual markets.”
