Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp., owned by Evangelos Marinakis, announced the delivery of the M/V Buenaventura Express to its new owners on January 19, 2026, completing another step in the strategic restructuring of its fleet.

The company recorded an accounting gain of 4.2 million dollars from the sale of the vessel, while the proceeds were used to repay 84.4 million dollars in debt and for general corporate purposes. The transaction is part of CCEC’s strategic shift towards gas transportation, with an emphasis on LNG.

Since February 2024, it has sold 14 containerships, raising 814.3 million dollars. Its fleet currently includes 14 ships, mainly latest generation LNG, while nine additional LNG/C, six mid-sized dual-fuel tankers and three LCO2/multi-gas carriers are under construction with deliveries by 2029.
