MORE has completed the construction of three large-scale independent energy storage systems in Greece.
The three MORE projects are located in Fokida, Florina and Boeotia and were built in a record time of 5 months.
As the company emphasized in its announcement, this is an achievement that highlights its technical readiness and operational efficiency.
3 stations have a power of 72 MW and a capacity of 144 MWh
In total, the three stations have a power of 72 MW and a capacity of 144 MWh, making MORE one of the first companies to complete projects of such size in the country.
As emphasized by MORE, “the operation of these energy storage systems will lead to a substantial further reduction in electricity prices for consumers, utilizing electricity from Renewable Sources that is currently being cut. At the same time, it will contribute to the stability of the grid and the country’s energy security.”
“MORE, with the timely completion of these projects, confirms its role as a pioneer in the development of energy storage in Greece and continues to invest in technologies that enhance the sustainable and reliable operation of the energy system,” the announcement added.
The three projects were selected during the 2nd Competitive Procedure of the Regulatory Authority for Waste Energy and Water (RAEW) for storage systems, which took place in 2024 and are being implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” with funding from the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
