The planned arrivals of cruise ships at the port of Thessaloniki amount to 58, compared to 70 last year and 81 in 2024.
The decrease is attributed to the cessation of the presence of Celestyal Cruises, which in fact homeported in Thessaloniki, but decided this year to utilize the ship that was moored at the OLTH in the SE Aegean.
However, it has announced that it will return in the coming years.
According to the management, the approaches of cruise ships this year at the port of Thessaloniki are fewer, but there is a qualitative improvement with more luxurious cruise ships and higher economic level passengers.
The first cruise ship to dock at the ThPA this year on January 21 is Viking Star of Viking Cruises, which will make a total of nine calls at the ThPA this year with five different ships, compared to four calls last year.
This is followed on February 11 by the Celebrity Infinity of the Royal Caribbean Group, which will spend the night in Thessaloniki, depart on February 12 and will dock at the ThPA a total of 23 times during the year.
It is also worth noting that this year Norwegian Cruises is also returning to the ThPA with the ship Norwegian Viva, which will make the first of its three total calls on May 16, while in 2024 the Norwegian Gateway docked at the ThPA.
Also, in 2027, the German TUI Cruises is expected to include Thessaloniki in its schedule.
