Alpha Bank’s management spoke of a “very busy” 2026, in terms of partnerships and expansions, as well as rebranding, during the luncheon it hosted for the 100 years of continuous presence on the Athens Stock Exchange.

Reviewing 2025 in its initial statement, Alpha Bank CEO Vassilios Psaltis pointed out that it was a year of great growth for the partnership with UniCredit, as the 12-month period began with 10% share and will end with a 30% share.

At the same time, Alpha Bank’s vision and strategy brought it to the top globally with the largest percentage change in capitalization in the first half of 2025, while the picture for the second half is also positive. He also referred to the three transactions that Alpha Bank carried out in 2025, with AstroBank, FlexFin and Axia Ventures, which were officially completed a few days before the year ended.

The bank’s strategy will focus on strengthening the product range, supporting both Greek and Cypriot customers as well as further deepening the cooperation with UniCredit.

As Psaltis pointed out, the cooperation between the two banks extends to over 30 sectors and in 2026 two goals are being pursued: “First, to be able to present all the work that we do together. You will see some innovations that do not exist in other banks. And the second thing you will see is to hold roadshows in each of the countries where UniCredit has a presence,” explained Psaltis.
