A light earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale was recorded at 02.55 (00.55 GMT) on Friday morning in a sea region northwest of Lesvos (Mytilene).
According to a geodynamic institute in Athens, the quake’s epicenter was pinpointed at 73 kilometers northwest of the island’s capital, Mytilene, and at a depth of 37.4 kilometers.
