Greek shipowner George Prokopiou is launching a new round of investments in VLCCs, further expanding the shipbuilding programme of Dynacom Tankers Management.
According to available information, Dynacom has signed an order in China with Hengli Heavy Industry for four additional VLCC newbuildings of around 300,000 dwt.
Hengli noted that this marks the second VLCC contract signed this year between Dynacom and the shipyard, which has already delivered two vessels to the company: Aliakmon I in 2025 and Pinios in February 2026. The Chinese yard currently holds the world’s largest VLCC orderbook, with 76 vessels under construction.
Dynacom, founded in 1991, is currently running the largest shipbuilding programme ever undertaken by a Greek shipping group, having taken delivery of more than 25 newbuildings in 2025 alone.
