The Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) is supporting the operational capabilities of the Coast Guard, within the framework of the long-standing cooperation it has developed with the security authorities of the country’s largest port.
Aiming at improving the daily operational activities of the Coast Guard officers and enhancing security in the port area of Piraeus, the administration of Piraeus Port Authority S.A. proceeded with the donation of new equipment.
Specifically, the donation concerns six motorcycles, including five years of technical support, as well as the equipment and related conversion work (beacon, siren, special lights and microphone installation). The donation also includes thirty sets of rider equipment, consisting of helmets, gloves and boots. The total value of the donation amounts to 70,000 euros.
This action is part of the broader context of the long-standing cooperation between the Piraeus Port Authority S.A. and the Coast Guard, with the aim of strengthening the operational capabilities of the coast guard and supporting the valuable work it performs for the safety of maritime transport and the ports of Greece.
PPA recognizes the significant contribution of the Coast Guard in the protection of citizens and ensuring the smooth operation of port facilities, and this specific donation is another expression of its will for cooperation and support.
The CEO of PPA S.A., Su Xudong, stated: “The donation strengthens our long-standing cooperation with the Coast Guard, recognizing its great work for the safety of maritime transport and our ports and contributes to the operational readiness and safety of executives, while simultaneously enhancing the efficiency and reliability of the services offered to citizens.”
