As the deadline for the final phase of the Recovery and Resilience Plan approaches, senior officials from the European Commission are set to begin another assessment this week of Greece’s progress in implementing the national plan Greece 2.0 National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
If deemed necessary, there will be the possibility of another revision of the Plan, which is not in the intentions of the Greek side. In any case, the main goal of both sides is not to jeopardize any of the upcoming disbursements.
Greece remains in the first positions among the member states of the European Union in terms of the utilization of resources.
A total of 23.4 billion euros have already been disbursed, while disbursements are expected to approach 25 billion euros (24.57 billion euros), corresponding to 68% of the amount that Greece can receive from the Recovery Fund. At the same time, Greece is preparing the next steps for the submission of the 8th request and 9th request by the end of September.
