Erasmus Shipinvest Group, a Chinese-owned shipping company based in Vouliagmeni and founded in 2010, has received the new LPG carrier “Gas Long”, the fourth ship in a series of 5,000 cubic meter vessels built at the Japanese shipyard Shitanoe Zosen.

The company, led by John Su, announced that the vessel, under the Panamanian flag and classed by ABS (American Bureau of Shipping), has immediately commenced operations under a multi-year contract with the Norwegian energy company Equinor for transports to the European market.

With the addition of “Gas Long”, Erasmus Gas Carriers’ LPG fleet now exceeds 20 vessels.

The group aims to maintain its position among the largest owners of pressurized gas carriers worldwide.
