The EU Commission has approved a 400-million-euro Greek state aid scheme for strategic investments in clean technologies.

According to the announcement, the measure aims to boost production capacity for net-zero emission technologies, in line with the objectives of the Clean Industry Agreement. The aid will be made available through direct grants and tax advantages and will be open to companies throughout Greece until 31 December 2030.

The Commission found that the scheme is in line with the Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework (CISAF), which was adopted in June 2025, and that the aid is necessary and proportionate to accelerate the transition to a net-zero emissions economy.

CISAF allows Member States to support strategic investments in clean technologies, production of critical raw materials and decarbonisation of industrial processes, with the aim of accelerating the green transition across the European Union.
