Almi Marine Management has made a new investment in its fleet, signing a contract for the construction of two 64,000 dwt Ultramax bulk carriers with NACKS Shipyard, with scheduled delivery in the second quarter of 2029.

As the company’s CEO, Christos Hadjigeorgiou, stated in a post, the new vessels are the first deliveries of the next generation of this world-class design and will comply with EEDI Phase IV specifications, when they come into force. At the same time, they will be equipped with the latest technology electronic main engine Everllence 10.7.

The equipment also includes the ability to transport two 25-ton coil loads, a CO₂ protection system for the cargo holds and a series of additional features that enhance the efficiency and attractiveness of the ships to charterers.
