The Growthfund has turned into a central development institution for the creation of economic and social value in the country, with a recent expansion through the integration of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) and the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund (HFSF).

The Group’s portfolio corresponds to approximately 12 billion euros and extends to 11 critical sectors of the Greek economy, from energy and water resources management to port infrastructure, transport, logistics, banks and real estate.

To implement its strategy, the Growthfund is based on 3 pillars:

  • Transformation of public enterprises to align them with private sector standards, providing better services to citizens and ensuring sustainable results.
  • Development of national infrastructure assets: airports and ports, infrastructure, energy and water resources management, so that they become mature for exploitation, through concessions, privatizations or attracting strategic investors.
  • Investment in new economy projects with high added value, through the establishment of an integrated platform of investment tools.

Finally, the Project Preparation Facility (PPF), as a flexible and independent unit within the Growthfund, operates as an accelerator for the maturation and implementation of projects of national importance, in collaboration with a number of ministries and public entities.
