Box Now is launching investments of 10 million euros for 2026, while also setting the stage for its geographical expansion, amidst growing consumer interest in the use of automatic parcel pickup machines.
Since the start of its commercial operation in 2021 to date, the company has implemented an investment program that exceeds 30 million euros, serving more than 3.5 million customers.
According to Lefteris Papadimitriou, CEO of Box Now Greece, the company is implementing an extensive growth plan this year, aiming for 300,000 lockers, larger lockers and expansion to new areas, including islands such as Tinos, Mykonos, Syros and Santorini.
Box Now manages a network of more than 200,000 lockers in 2,300 locations in over 560 cities in Greece, covering 94% of the territory. The management’s goal is for Box Now to manage at least 300,000 lockers in 2,700-2,800 different locations by 2026. It also collaborates with more than 7,000 e-shops and commercial enterprises, offering innovative services to its customers.
Investments in infrastructure and warehouses
At the same time, it is investing in new and upgraded logistics infrastructure, with new hubs and warehouses in Attica, Thessaloniki, Larissa, Kavala and Ioannina. Overall, the goal is to expand to 28,000 sq m. from 18,000 sq m. today. In particular, in Attica, it is planned to install a fully automated sorting machine for faster and more efficient distribution of parcels.
International expansion – The next goals
At the same time, emphasis is placed on the company’s international expansion. In this context, Box Now is launching partnerships for its expansion into key European markets. It already has a presence in Bulgaria, Cyprus and Croatia with the “Send a Parcel” service, with Slovenia as its next goal. Specifically, according to the group’s CEO, Dimitris Andriotis, Box Now’s activity in Slovenia will begin in May with 36,000 boxes, while further expansion is planned in countries of Southeastern Europe with the aim of increasing its overall activity.
According to him, in 2025 Box Now distributed approximately 44 million parcels in the countries in which it operates (Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Croatia). The goal is to more than double this number in all countries by 2026, and specifically to distribute approximately 81 million parcels in the countries of operation.
