Alpha Gas, the shipping group of Anna Angelicoussis, is proceeding with a new strategic investment in the liquefied natural gas sector, ordering two state-of-the-art LNG tankers.

The ships will be built in South Korea and will incorporate advanced energy efficiency and environmental compliance technologies, meeting the strictest international standards.

According to sources, their delivery is scheduled for 2029 and is part of a broader plan to renew and strengthen the fleet. The move confirms the company’s confidence in the long-term prospects of the global LNG market, in a period of increased energy needs and geopolitical realignments.

Alpha Gas already has a strong presence in the sector, while it has four more LNG carriers under construction, with scheduled delivery in 2026 and 2027. The investment further strengthens its position as a stable and progressive player in the international LNG supply chain.
