TAP Air Portugal will launch the Lisbon-Athens route from July 1, with five weekly flights.
Flights
The flights between the capitals of Portugal and Greece will be operated with Airbus A320neo aircraft during the summer months and with Embraer E190 during the IATA winter season.
From Humberto Delgado Airport, flights will depart at 21:30 every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, arriving at Athens International Airport at 03:40 (am) the next day.
Departures from Athens will take place at 04:40 every Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, arriving in Lisbon at 07:15 (local time).
According to the announcement: “Athens is a destination not to be missed, where history meets modern life. The Greek capital captivates visitors with the Acropolis and the iconic Parthenon, world-class museums, as well as picturesque neighborhoods, such as Plaka, full of cafes and traditional shops. Lively markets, panoramic views and a vibrant cultural life complete the picture, making Athens a unique destination for every traveler.
From Athens, visitors can also embark on an exploration of Greece’s top tourist destinations, such as Delphi with the famous Temple of Apollo, Meteora, known for its “floating” monasteries, as well as nearby islands such as Hydra and Aegina, ideal for a seaside getaway,” a related announcement states.
Return tickets between Lisbon and Athens are available at www.flytap.com, as well as through travel agents, with prices starting from 119 euros including all taxes.
