A strategic meeting aimed at strengthening Heraklion’s position as a competitive cruise port in the Mediterranean was held between the CEO of Heraklion Port Authority S.A., Minas Papadakis, and the CEO of Heraklion International Airport S.A., Nikos Anastasiou.
During the meeting, the complementary role of the port and the new international airport as integrated gateways for cruises and high-value-added tourism was highlighted.
Particular emphasis was placed on air connections, operational reliability and overall operational capacity of infrastructure, factors that decisively influence the strategic decisions of cruise companies.
Discussions focused on enhanced port and airport coordination.
