The shipbuilding program of Atlas Maritime, owned by Leo Patitsas, reaches a pivotal point with the successful launch of the H580-ECO STAR, a new generation car carrier with a capacity of 7,000 CEU and dual-fuel LNG.
The launch took place at the CIMC Raffles facilities in China, marking another essential step in the implementation of the company’s strategic plan.
The H580-ECO STAR belongs to the PCTC (Pure Car and Truck Carrier) category and has been designed to meet the growing demands of international automotive industries for efficient and environmentally friendly maritime transport.
The ability to use LNG as fuel significantly reduces emissions, placing the ship at the forefront of the energy transition.
