The amount that households and municipalities will receive in the areas where renewable energy units operate reaches 41.2 million euros.
According to ELETAEN, the total amount for the production of the year 2024 is increased by 18% compared to 2023. Of the above amount, 16.5 million will be credited directly to the electricity bills of household consumers in these areas and the remaining 24.7 million will be allocated for financial support to local Municipalities.
Many of the populations supported live in small mountain or island communities.
79% of these amounts, i.e. over 32.6 million euros, come from wind farms. The distribution of 16.5 million euros to consumers will begin with the finalization of the list published by the Ministry of Environment and Energy.
