HELMEPA, whose president is Semiramis Paliou, was honored with the Biodiversity Award at the Bravo Sustainability Dialogue & Awards 2025, organized by the QualityNet Foundation, in the “Environment” pillar.
This distinction is a recognition of a collective and participatory project, which belongs to HELMEPA’s 378 member companies and more than 1,000,000 volunteers.
Τhrough more than 5,400 coastal and underwater cleanups, HELMEPA has made a significant contribution to the protection of marine biodiversity. In 2025 alone, 536 cleanup actions were implemented across the country, with the participation of more than 23,000 volunteers, including 16,000 children, conveying the timeless message: “No trash, no plastic, in seas and coasts.”
The award was received by Efstathios Kostakopoulos and Nefeli Zervou.
