ECOLOG, the energy and logistics group controlled by Peter Livanos, played a prominent role during a visit to the Port of Amsterdam, where company executives joined German Parliamentary State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Energy Stefan Rouenhoff and an international business delegation as part of the broader programme accompanying the German President’s visit.
ECOLOG’s participation underscored the company’s commitment to strengthening cross-border cooperation and advancing critical energy and logistics corridors linking the Netherlands, Germany and the wider European region.
Together with Daimler Truck AG, VTG and Westfalen AG, ECOLOG highlighted the strategic importance of developing liquid hydrogen (LH2) and liquid carbon dioxide (LCO2) corridors between the Netherlands and Germany.
Participants stressed that strong industrial partnerships are essential for building more resilient supply chains and supporting the transition toward a cleaner and more interconnected European energy landscape.
The discussions also highlighted the growing role of integrated transport, energy and logistics infrastructure in facilitating the movement of low-carbon fuels and supporting Europe’s decarbonisation objectives, while enhancing energy security and regional competitiveness.
