The Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis sent an invitation to the international entrepreneurs for investments in key sectors of the Greek economy during the 6th Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation (P-TEC), which is taking place at the Zappeion Mansion.
The occasion was the signing of a historic agreement on hydrocarbons, through which Greece will become a gateway for American LNG to Europe.
“We want more investment”
Pierrakakis pointed out the need for more investment from the US, but also from all over the world. “We want more investment, more foreign direct investment and more American investment. And we see that there is a specific interest in the field. I believe that we will soon see it materialize.”
The strategy to attract US investments
The minister referred to the positive prospects presented by the Greek economy beyond the energy sector and focused in particular on the strategy to attract further US investments in Greece. “There are, of course, promising prospects for investments in other sectors of economic activity, in energy – and not only.”
