The Greek Foreign Ministry announced the signing of two memorandums of cooperation between Greek companies TERNA and DP PUMPS GROUP and Ukraine’s state-owned natural gas company Naftogaz.
The agreements were signed on June 25 during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdansk, Poland, in the presence of Deputy Foreign Minister Harry Theoharis.
According to the ministry, the memorandums follow confidentiality agreements signed between Naftogaz and the two Greek companies on March 30, 2026, in Kyiv, during a visit by Theoharis at the head of a Greek business delegation to Ukraine, underscoring the steady progress of bilateral cooperation.
The memorandums were signed on behalf of the Greek side by Stathis Natsis, Executive Director for International Markets at TERNA S.A., and George Polemis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DP PUMPS GROUP. Naftogaz was represented by Oleksii Riabchyn, Director for International Relations and Partnership Development.
Scope of the agreements
The agreement between TERNA and Naftogaz provides for cooperation on the development of natural gas, energy storage and renewable energy projects in the Odesa region.
The agreement between DP PUMPS GROUP and Naftogaz covers the implementation of water infrastructure projects, pumping systems for power generation facilities and other energy installations.
“These agreements lay the foundations for the active participation of Greek businesses in Ukraine’s reconstruction, particularly in the critical sectors of energy and infrastructure,” the foreign ministry said in a statement.
“Their implementation is also expected to make a meaningful contribution to strengthening the country’s energy security at a time when its needs remain particularly high due to the ongoing war,” it added.
