METLEN and KNDS jointly unveiled the VBCI PHILOCTETES, France’s most advanced 8×8 infantry fighting vehicle, during Eurosatory international defense exhibition in Paris.

According to METLEN, the presentation took place at the KNDS pavilion in the presence of senior representatives of the French Armed Forces, French and international media, as well as executives and stakeholders from the European and global defense ecosystem.

METLEN said its participation in Eurosatory 2026 — Europe’s leading defense and security exhibition and one of the most prominent worldwide — reflects the company’s growing role in the European defense industry.

The joint presentation of the VBCI PHILOCTETES® alongside KNDS underscores METLEN’s position as a reliable industrial partner in strategic European defense collaborations, leveraging the advanced capabilities of its M Technologies Hub in Volos, the company added.

“Europe is entering a new era in which security and strategic autonomy require a strong and resilient defense industrial base,” said Vassilis Tsiamis, Chief Executive Director of M Technologies at METLEN. “With more than 25 years of experience in demanding international defense programs, M Technologies has developed significant industrial capabilities and expertise in critical defense systems. Our cooperation with KNDS on the co-production of the VBCI PHILOCTETES® is a strategic partnership built on a long-standing relationship of trust and collaboration, as well as a shared vision for the future of European defense.”

On his part, Nicolas Groult, Chief Executive Officer of KNDS France, described the VBCI PHILOCTETES® program as a pioneering industrial partnership between Greece and France.
