OPAP’s strong profitability ensures the achievement of its annual targets, the company’s management emphasized in the context of the announcement of the nine-month financial results.
The increase in profitability was combined with healthy profit margins and a strong cash position, and in terms of the contribution of Joker and iGaming games, they boosted the company’s performance.
Commenting on OPAP’s financial performance, Jan Karas, CEO of the company, stated that “these positive trends strengthen our belief that we will achieve our forecasts for the financial year 2025, as well as our broader strategic and business goals. In this context, we are working towards a dynamic end to the year and look forward to 2026, in which we will operate under the new Allwyn brand. This will mark a new era of growth opportunities, innovation and best-in-class entertainment and gaming experiences for our customers.”
Presenting the company’s performance, Karas emphasized that “OPAP achieved strong results in the third quarter, surpassing the strong corresponding quarter last year.”
He pointed out that “like last year, the third quarter’s performance benefited from a significant jackpot in JOKER. The jackpot in August was the largest in the game’s history, leading to increased traffic in the retail network, enhanced traffic on online platforms and greater gaming activity on both channels.”
He also said that “our iGaming activities were developed for another quarter, while our iLottery platform was enriched with loyalty actions, offering gamified experiences based on the F1 theme,every Grand Prix weekend.”
