According to data of the General Electronic Commercial Registry (G.E.MI.) from 1/1/2023 to 30/6/2023, new business registrations amounted to 30,557 compared with 24,731 registrations in the corresponding period of 2022.
In absolute numbers, 5,826 more companies were established this year, which translates into a 23.6% increase.
Companies that closed totaled 6,885 in the same period, compared with 8,724, down 21.4%.
The balance began to be gradually restored as of 2017 and in 2023 new business registrations completely outnumbered business closures.
