The heads of Gazprom, Italy’s Edison and the Greek natgas provider, DE.PA, signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday in Rome focusing on the construction of a “southern route” pipeline for Russian natural gas towards Europe.
The agreement outlines the interest of the three sides in a new pipeline from linking Russia, via the Black Sea and third countries, and continuing to Greece and Italy.
