A pilot program that allows for the issuance of tourist visas for tourists arriving from Turkey on several eastern Aegean islands has been extended for another year.
The islands of Lesvos, Hios, Samos, Kos, Rhodes, Symi and Kastellorizo are included in the pilot program.
Greek authorities use the “Vis” system to collect biometric data of people applying for the tourist visa upon arrival to the participating islands.
