The port of Heraklion welcomed Silver Nova for the first time, one of the most advanced luxury cruise ships in the world.
A traditional plaque exchange ceremony was held on board the vessel to mark its maiden call, highlighting cooperation between the Heraklion Port Authority, port authorities and the international cruise industry.
Chief Executive Officer Minas Papadakis represented the port and highlighted Heraklion’s growing presence in the cruise sector, as well as its commitment to providing high-quality services, safety and reliability.
Silver Nova has been included in the port’s 2026 cruise season schedule with a total of nine calls, reinforcing Heraklion’s position as a luxury cruise destination.
The ship can accommodate around 728 guests, supported by a crew of 556, offering a high space-per-passenger ratio and premium all-inclusive services.
