Marlink, a provider of managed services for mission-critical digital solutions, and Metis, a specialized provider of maritime data collection and advanced analytics, are entering into a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing real data-driven services for shipowners and fleet managers.
The strategic collaboration combines Metis’ real-time vessel data collection and AI-powered analytics with Marlink’s managed digital services, helping shipowners accelerate digital transformation and improve fleet operational performance. The agreement positions Marlink as a strategic partner for Metis solutions, combining Marlink’s global digital maritime infrastructure, cyber-secure networking environment and customer support capabilities with Metis’ expertise in reliable data collection and AI-assisted analytics.
Under the agreement, Metis will provide the onboard data collection system, equipment installation services and its specialized analytics platform, while Marlink will bring the solution to market as part of its Possibility portfolio of solutions, leveraging its extensive maritime customer management network, cyber-secure network environment and global support services infrastructure.
As highlighted in the announcement, the partnership will strengthen Marlink’s ability to deliver comprehensive business intelligence solutions for shipping companies, enabling the efficient collection, analysis and utilization of high-frequency data across areas such as fuel consumption, environmental performance, voyage optimization, machinery performance, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
