The turnover of all businesses amounted to 492.062 billion euros last year, recording an increase of 1.6% compared to 484.461 billion euros in 2024, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
The largest increase in turnover was experienced by businesses in the Mining and Quarrying sector (11.2%) as well as Education (8.9%), while businesses in Public Administration and Defense as well as Compulsory Social Security (11.6%) experienced a decrease.
Fourth quarter
According to ELSTAT, for all businesses, turnover amounted to 129.441 billion euros in the fourth quarter of 2025, marking an increase of 1.4%, compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, which had amounted to 127.629 billion euros.
The largest increase in turnover was experienced by businesses in the Education sector (15.6%), while the largest decrease was experienced by businesses in the Real Estate Management sector (9.3%).
December
At the same time, for all businesses obliged to double-entry accounting bookkeeping and for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in December 2025 amounted to 39,372 billion euros, recording an increase of 4.6% compared to December 2024, which had amounted to 37,643 billion euros.
The largest increase was experienced by businesses in the Mining and Quarrying sector (16.8%), while the largest decrease was experienced by businesses in the Public Administration and Defense sector as well as the Compulsory Social Security sector (10.6%).
