Chalkis Shipyards is the first shipyard in Greece to submit a Greenhouse Gas Inventory Report and receive a Verification Statement of the Carbon Footprint Report – No. GR007443 from the internationally recognized certification body Bureau Veritas (BV).

According to the company’s announcement, the inventory and quantification of greenhouse gas emissions was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14064-1:2018, which sets out the principles and requirements for the development, reporting and verification of greenhouse gas emission inventories in organizations.

The verification of the Carbon Footprint Report was carried out by Bureau Veritas, in accordance with the ISO 14064-3:2019 standard, ensuring the accuracy, completeness and reliability of the declared emissions data.

This distinction confirms the strategic commitment of Chalkis Shipyards SA to transparency, compliance with international sustainability standards and the continuous improvement of its environmental performance.

At the same time, it is emphasized, it is an essential step for monitoring, managing and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in its activities.
