Around 100 thousand transactions worth 1.5 million euros have been carried out through IRIS Commerce at a physical location in the first 15 days of its mandatory use, according to statistics provided by Stavroula Kampouridou, CEO of DIAS.
“IRIS has now evolved into a single, simple, physical and national means of direct payments, which works everywhere,” Stavroula Kampouridou pointed out during her speech.
Αccording to the latest statistics, IRIS P2P now has 4.25 million active users. It has reached half a million transactions per day on some days, while its average day is over 300,000 transactions and is growing at a rate of 2,300 users per day.
On the other hand, Iris P2Pro is the same as P2P, but for freelancers. According to Kampouridou, it now has 582,000 users, makes 15,000 transactions per day, while since the beginning of the year (2025) freelancers have received 170 million euros for their services through it, compared to 500 thousand in 2020.
Referring to the professions that mostly use Iris P2Pro, Kampouridou said that they are health services (physiotherapists, dentists, dermatologists), beauty services (hairdressers, beauty centers) and engineers.
Explaining the advantages of this service, Kampouridou emphasized the convenience of freelancers not carrying a POS with them, but only their mobile phone, where through the mobile banking app, in which they have activated Iris P2 Pro and linked it to their professional bank account, they can be paid in 2 seconds.
