“Every time I refer to the serious shortcomings in the structure and functioning of the EU institutions, and especially the European Commission, I receive strong criticism for ‘anti-Europeanism’. This is far from the truth!”

Evangelos Mytilineos is once again sounding the alarm, pointing out that the European bureaucracy has reached the point where it is no longer accountable to anyone.

“Every time I refer to the serious shortcomings in the structure and functioning of the EU institutions, and especially the European Commission, I receive strong criticism for ‘anti-Europeanism’. This is far from the truth!” Mytilineos said in a post on LinkedIn.

“I firmly believe in a coherent, smoothly functioning, federal Europe, where all Europeans feel that the ‘European project’ exists to serve their interests and not those of the European bureaucracy, which has now become unaccountable to anyone,” he added.

“My words fall on deaf ears; perhaps the same words from the world’s leading banker, Jamie Dimon, chairman and CEO of JP Morgan and a strong friend of Europe, would be heard louder…” he noted, quoting points from Dimon’s statement on Saturday at the Reagan National Defense Forum.
