The farmers’ mobilizations are entering a new, more dynamic phase, with more than 20 roadblocks set up across the country, continuous blockades of central road axes and announcements of interventions in ports and airports.

Thessaly remains the epicenter of the pressure, while Crete is today dynamically entering the round of mobilizations with motorized marches and planned blockades of key infrastructure.

Blockades on national roads, customs and key points

The number of blockades has now exceeded 20 throughout the territory, causing serious difficulties in traffic.

Thessaly: Nikaia at the epicenter – 4,000 tractors and escalation
In Nikaia, Larissa, approximately 4,000 tractors remain lined up, with farmers proceeding today with symbolic blockades of roadsides, while on Wednesday they have decided to blockade the port of Volos together with the fishermen of Magnesia.

Blockades on key axes of the country

Athens-Lamia: blockades in Thiva, Kastro, Bralo and Atalanti.

E65: two points remain blocked.

Ionian Highway: blockades at the Arta and Angelokastro junctions.

Egnatia Highway: blockades at at least three points — partial restoration on Xanthi-Komotini, but the opposite direction remains closed.

Closed customs offices – impacts on the movement of goods
In Kipi, Exochi, Evzoni and Niki, the customs offices remain closed to trucks.

The Promachona customs office was temporarily opened on Sunday afternoon, however, the farmers of Serres returned yesterday to a four-hour blockade in both directions.

Macedonia: Thessaloniki surrounded by four blockades

Thessaloniki is surrounded by four large blockades: Green Traffic Lights, Chalkidona, Malgara and Lagada.

The farmers say they will file a lawsuit against the police, insisting that the riot police themselves were blocking the passage and not the tractors. On their part, the police warned that “unless the last tractor leaves, the squads will not leave.”

In Skydra, approximately 200 tractors have blocked the customs office and part of the Edessa-Veria road.

Today at noon, in Trilofos, a crucial meeting of representatives of the blocs of Central Macedonia will be held to coordinate and make decisions on further mobilizations.

Central Greece: Continued blockades and expansion of mobilizations

The situation in Bralo, Thiva, Kastro and Atalanti remains particularly dynamic:

In Bralo, today from 12:00 to 13:00 farmers are closing all side roads again, warning that they will repeat their actions during the day.

In Kastro, the farmers of Livadia are deciding today to escalate their protests again.

In Thiva, the junction remains closed with the support of local bodies and local government. In Domokos, the blockades on the old national network and access to the E65 continue periodically.

Epirus: Blockade at the Ioannina airport
At the new blockade at the Ioannina airport, farmers and livestock farmers appeared with tractors and… their children, whom they described as “tomorrow’s young livestock farmers”.

Peloponnese & Western Greece

Farmers have temporarily withdrawn from Kato Achaia, with a new assembly scheduled for today at 17:30.
Traffic on Patras-Pyrgos has been restored, but the new motorway remains closed until further notice.

Crete: Dynamic entry into the mobilizations – Targeting the port and airport of Heraklion

On Monday, at 11:30, farmers of Crete officially begin the round of mobilizations with a gathering outside the Pancretan Stadium.

A motorized march will then follow, with the plan including:

Blockade of the port of Heraklion

Blockade of the “Nikos Kazantzakis” airport

Organized convoys from Sitia, Ierapetra, Agios Nikolaos and eastern Rethymno are participating in the actions, which are headed towards Heraklion.
