Alternate Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanassis. signed a decision to increase the resources of Entrepreneurship Fund Loan Fund III (EPIL III) by 100 million euros.
The Fund is expected to finance new loans totaling 240 million euros.
The additional funding, with resources from the “Competitiveness” Program of the NSRF 2021-2027, aims to further strengthen small and medium-sized entrepreneurship and expand SMEs’ access to financial institutions.
According to the ministry, it is a result of the great response of the previous phase of financing through the TEPIX III Loan Fund in the market, a fact that was reflected in the full absorption of the relevant resources of the 3rd phase, within one week.
So far, in the three previous phases of the Loan Fund, a total of more than 2,700 loans have been approved, totaling 924 million euros to small and medium-sized enterprises throughout the country.
