The energy issue remains unchanged. What has changed is the prioritization of the three variables that compose it. Energy security now comes first, followed by affordability and then sustainability, a clear reflection of the global geopolitical and economic environment.
This was stated in his introductory statement during a discussion on energy security held within the framework of the 4th Greek Investment Conference, by Petros Tzannetakis, Deputy CEO of Motor Oil Hellas.
As he stated: “At Motor Oil, we have already designed a balanced transformation plan since 2018, ensuring that our strategy addresses all three variables of the equation. This plan marked the beginning of our journey from a refinery with commercial activity, to a leading energy Group with a diversified portfolio, thus further strengthening the Group’s sustainability and profitability, while maintaining the flexibility to adapt to changing conditions.
Following global developments, we are confident that this balanced approach was the right choice. A choice that allows us to move steadily forward according to our initial plan, making targeted corrective moves at each stage, so as to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks.”
