Diana Shipping Inc, a company owned by Semiramis Paliou, announced higher profitability and a clear strategy for fleet management, in a period where the dry cargo market is affected by complex macroeconomic and geopolitical developments.
More specifically, the company announced net income of 7.2 million dollars and earnings of 5.7 million dollars attributable to common shareholders in the third quarter, almost double the levels of 2024, when the corresponding figures stood at 3.7 and 2.3 million dollars.
For the nine-month period, the results were even more impressive: profits reached 14.7 million dollars compared to 3 million dollars in 2024, while profits attributable to shareholders reached 10.4 million, reversing last year’s loss of 1.3 million.
Diana Shipping continues to focus on maintaining a quality fleet and securing revenue through medium-long-term time charters.
The company currently has 36 vessels in the water, with an average age of 11.97 years, with an impressive fleet utilization of 99.5% in the first nine months of 2025.
As noted, the company’s strategy remains oriented towards ensuring stable cash flows through targeted charter agreements with reliable charterers of international prestige.
