The practical experience of Seanergy, a company owned by Stamatis Tsantanis, in the use of processes based on Artificial Intelligence was presented by the DPA / MHSQE Manager of the shipping industry during the INTERCARGO Technical Committee meeting.
Specifically, Alexandros Danousis highlighted the challenges facing shipping, such as data quality, the integration of digital systems and the degree of digital readiness.
At the same time, he showed how AI is already enhancing safety, reporting consistency and operational decision-making across the company’s fleet.
As part of the presentation, he also shared the results of a survey, where over 160 crew members expressed their views on the role of AI in improving safety and daily work, emphasizing that the human factor must remain at the heart of any digital transition.
