The two sides confirmed their will for closer coordination and joint initiatives, both at European and international level, with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of the maritime sector and the further development of maritime transport in the Mediterranean.
Kikilias stressed that the two countries maintain excellent cooperation, which can be further enhanced, both at the bilateral and multilateral levels, as “our perspective as Mediterranean countries has much to contribute to relevant international and European policies.”
The two sides agreed to continue their coordination in international organizations and European institutions, with the aim of promoting common positions to boost shipping, maritime transport and the competitiveness of the European fleet.
