A high-ranking management team of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) visited the Thriasio Logistics Center, with the aim of informing them about the progress of the project and exploring opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the country’s strategic infrastructure.

The project is part of the European and US strategy of the “Vertical Axis” and contributes to the creation of a competitive and interconnected corridor in the supply chain, while the visit highlights the cooperation between Greece and the United States in the fields of infrastructure, logistics and green development.

In the presence of the Deputy Minister of Transport, Konstantinos Kyranakis, the focus was also on the cooperation between Thriasio Logistics Center and Elefsis Shipyards, with the aim of creating a unified industrial and freight ecosystem in Western Attica.

The goal is the vertical integration of the transport chain (sea – land – rail) and the attraction of new commercial and industrial activities in the region. The geographical proximity and functional complementarity of the two facilities create a unique opportunity to develop an interconnected infrastructure corridor (Western Attica Logistics Corridor), with the potential to attract international “operators”.

It is the first integrated freight center in Greece and a project of strategic importance for the economy and supply chain of Southeastern Europe.

Key project features

– Railway connection within the facilities and direct access to the port of Piraeus, the airport “El. Venizelos” and the Attica Motorway
– 265,000 sq m of storage space
– Full energy autonomy
– Creation of 3,000 new jobs.
