The list of advisers of the Financial Stability Fund (HFS) was sent to the Ministry of Finance in order to select the adviser who will proceed with the necessary actions for the sale of 9% of Alpha Bank to UniCredit.

The name of the selected adviser will be known by Thursday and the procedures for the tender will start normally.

What is important for the Fund is the price of the transaction, as – according to estimates – it cannot be set at a discount, unless a number of offers are presented that do not value the bank higher.

Alpha Bank is expected to receive from the sale of Alpha Bank Romania and Alphalife close to 370 million euros, while 9% of its total share capital, which belongs to the HFSF, will be sold to UniCredit.

Alpha Bank after the deal will retain approximately 9.9% in the new UniCredit Romania.
